Dear Partners in Ministry,
Well, here we are again, and thank you so very much for your prayers this past month. Although hurricanes Charlie and Frances have disrupted many of our lives, the Lord is faithful, and we thank Him for His presence in “times of storms.” Our hearts grieve for those who have had immense damage. Our neighbors lost much of their roof and have scrambled to get it fixed within the week, as the next storm is supposedly on its way. We hide under the wings of the Almighty and trust His presence in all that is happening. We know that His ways are not our ways, and He reminds us to look around and take these devastating times in peoples’ lives and be there for them with the love of Jesus. May we all be a light for Him at every calling of our lives. We appreciate your continued prayers and support as we seek to reach and teach others in the coming days.
God continues to work through ETI, and we stand back in amazement to think He would use us to work His purposes. We PRAISE HIM! This past month, the Lord has done many things. Some of what He has done follows:
- He has miraculously provided all the needed tuition for Caleb’s schooling.
- With the help and giftedness of Tom Ziffer (long-time friend and co-laborer) and Gary and Lorrie Timberlake (Linda’s brother and wife), we now have our new logo.
- Gary and Lorrie are helping us design and produce a soon-to-be ready brochure to explain more about this ministry. They have helped us to create a wonderful prayer card that we will have out soon, as well.
- We have seen God work powerfully at several churches that have been through the training this past month. At the Love Fellowship Church, there was a total of 39 people who got saved! They are so excited about now being witnesses! The instruction at Oviedo Refuge Temple was wonderful, as well, and the saints were trained and encouraged.
- We look forward to upcoming trainings this month at two other churches.
- The website has some new additions. Check it out.
- Notice that we have an address change for our email. (New: hook4jesus@embarqmail.com)
- The Spirit continues to bring inmates to salvation almost every Monday night as we teach. We had originally planned to take the initial group of attendees and train them to be witnesses there in the jail. We anticipate the opportunity to train in that way, as every week we are seeing many new faces coming to the service, and we are led to preach soul winning messages. We will follow the Lord’s leading in reaching lives for Him in this way, and sincerely desire to begin training those who are ready to be witnesses. We believe a great harvest can be reaped through prepared Christian inmates sharing Jesus daily. Please pray for His plan to unfold.
- We had the wonderful opportunity to preach again at FBC-Apopka and souls were saved.
- This past month, there were a total of 59 people that received Jesus as their Savior (1 Corinthians 1:31; Psalm 126:3).
We covet your prayers, and especially in these specific areas:
- We need several more financial partners.
- We pray that doors will continue to open for trainings to be lined-up.
- We desire for the beginning of Discipleship Training to commence at churches.
- We are desperately seeking a spirit-filled and gifted financial assistant/bookkeeper.
- We are initiating a mass mail-out to many pastors in west Florida to let them know of E.T.I.
- We pray for much needed wisdom in family and ministry decisions.
Thank you so much for being part of this ministry! Each and every one of you is such a blessing to us and to the body of Christ. Please let us know how we can pray for you and minister to you in any way.
Your servants and co-laborers in Jesus,
Dave, Linda, Caleb, Micah, Josiah and Grace Hook
